Terms of Service
GreenScape Landscaping
Last updated: January 1, 2026
Welcome to GreenScape Landscaping. By requesting a quote or booking our services, you agree to the following terms. We've written them plainly so you know exactly what to expect from us — and what we'll need from you.
1. Service Agreement
When you accept a written estimate or authorize work to proceed, you are entering into a service agreement with GreenScape Landscaping. This agreement covers the scope of work described in the estimate, the agreed price, and these terms of service.
These terms apply to all services we provide, including lawn care, garden maintenance, planting, hardscaping, snow removal, and seasonal cleanup.
2. Estimates & Payment
Estimates: All estimates are based on an assessment of your property and the work described. Estimates are valid for 30 days. If site conditions differ significantly from what was assessed, we will notify you before proceeding with any additional work.
Invoicing: Invoices are issued upon completion of each service visit or at the end of each billing period for recurring contracts. Payment is due within 15 days of invoice date.
Deposits: For larger projects (hardscaping, planting, installations), a deposit of 30–50% is required before work begins. The deposit amount will be stated in your estimate.
Late payments: Accounts outstanding beyond 30 days may be subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge. Service may be paused for accounts more than 60 days overdue.
We accept e-Transfer, cheque, and major credit cards.
3. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with a service, notify us within 48 hours of completion and we will return to address the concern at no additional charge.
Our guarantee covers workmanship, not natural outcomes beyond our control (such as plant establishment success, which depends on weather, watering, and soil conditions).
4. Weather Delays
Landscaping is weather-dependent. We reserve the right to reschedule services due to unsafe or unsuitable weather conditions, including heavy rain, frost, high winds, or extreme heat. We will notify you as soon as possible if a delay is necessary.
Rescheduling due to weather does not affect pricing. We will complete all scheduled work at the earliest suitable opportunity.
5. Property Access
By booking our services, you grant GreenScape Landscaping permission to access your property on scheduled service days during reasonable hours (typically 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday).
Please ensure that gates are unlocked, pets are secured indoors, and vehicles are not blocking work areas on service days. We are not responsible for delays or incomplete work caused by inaccessible areas.
Please mark or identify any underground irrigation lines, cables, or other utilities on your property before work begins. We are not liable for damage to unmarked underground features.
6. Liability
GreenScape Landscaping carries full commercial liability insurance. We take every precaution to protect your property, but please be aware of the following:
- We are not liable for damage to unmarked underground utilities, irrigation systems, or buried cables.
- Natural outcomes — such as plant loss due to drought, disease, or pest pressure — are not covered by our workmanship guarantee.
- Minor lawn marking from equipment on soft or saturated ground is normal and not considered damage.
- Our total liability for any incident shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service in question.
For damage claims, please contact us within 5 business days of the incident.
7. Photo Release
We may photograph your property and completed work for use in our portfolio, website, and social media. We will never identify your address or personal information in any published photos.
If you prefer that we not photograph your property, please let us know in writing before work begins and we will respect your wishes completely.
8. Changes & Cancellations
Scope changes: Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be approved in writing by both parties. Additional work will be quoted and invoiced separately.
Cancellation of recurring services: For recurring maintenance contracts, please provide 14 days' written notice to cancel or suspend service. Cancellations with less notice may be subject to a one-time cancellation fee equal to one service visit.
One-time services: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before a scheduled visit are free of charge. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a trip charge.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
